Peanut butter is a favorite snack for many people, but commercial brands add so much junk, it’s hard to find one that is truly healthy. This homemade peanut butter is so quick and easy to make.

2cupsshelled dry roasted peanutssalted or unsalted
2tablespoonspure maple syrup or honeyto make it easier to stir
Sea salt to taste
¼cupdry roasted peanuts optional to make crunchy peanut butter
Instructions
Be sure peanuts are out of their shells. Add them to the food processor.
Run the food processor or blender for 4 minutes. It's fun to see the peanuts transform to crumps to a dry ball to creamy peanut butter.
Stir in maple syrup or honey. Add salt, if using. If making chunky peanut butter, add in the extra peanuts. Churn it in the food processor for 5 - 10 seconds.
Enjoy it as you wish or store it in a glass jar at room temperature or in the fridge.
Notes
If you want to make chunky peanut butter but don't have extra ¼ cup of peanuts, you can reserve some from the 2 cups of peanuts.
